Shitake Mushroom Benefits: Contains all eight essential amino acids, boosts immune system, fights cancer cells and infectious disease, boosts the immune system, promotes brain function, and serves as a source of B vitamins. They also contain potent phytonutrients that help keep cells from sticking to blood vessel walls and forming plaque buildup, which maintains healthy blood pressure and improves circulation.

Crimini Mushroom Benefits: Helps restore gut health, reduce inflammation and oxidative stress. Consuming creminis is one way to help prevent potassium deficiency.

Cannellini Beans Benefits:

Weight Loss & Blood Sugar Balance - They help with weight loss in that they inhibit alpha amylase preventing quick carbohydrate absorption which keeps blood sugar from spiking after meals. Also low in calories but high fiber content helps to keep you full.

Contribute to a Healthy Heart -The alpha amylase inhibitor that helps with blood sugar levels also reduces triglycerides. If you constantly eat more calories than you need, triglycerides build up and can lead to heart disease. The inhibitor from white beans, researchers found, can help drop triglyceride levels. (6)

Furthermore, cannellini beans can also lower bad cholesterol and may help reduce high blood pressure.

Contains Cancer Fighting Antioxidants - Additionally, cannellini beans contain polyphenols, a type of antioxidant that can decrease risk of cancer and heart disease as well.

Leeks have prebiotic properties which means they help the good probiotics thrive. Similar in benefits as onions and garlic, they have cancer & diabetes fighting properties as well as support for oxidative stress and low level chronic inflammation. If you have atherosclerosis, type 2 diabetes, obesity, rheumatoid arthritis, or allergic airway inflammation, then it would be wise to include leeks into your daily diet on a regular basis.
