The PURE Food Challenge -
Welcome to Day 1. Please be sure to read the entire page and you will see a little homework challenge I have for you down at the bottom!
After all... a challenge isn't a challenge without a challenge...Right!!!
First things first... Break your fast each day with Warm Lemon Water.
Immune Boosting Mango Lassi
This is not the smoothie to drink if you are trying to lose weight. However if you are transitioning in that direction it is a good one to have at least once for the great nutritonal benefits and as a delightful treat because it is sooooo yummy!!!! Also if fruit is running scarce it is nice to have frozen bananas and mangos chopped up and ready to go in the freezer. Mangos provide a nice amount of Vit C which is super important when warding off viruses.
1 cup coconut water, plain water or almond milk (or milk of choice)
3/4 cup mango (Trader Joes has it frozen)
1/2 - 1 frozen banana - Less is more when it comes to the high carbs in bananas although more makes it more yummy (not gonna lie!!! ) and creamy.
1 tsp. tahini
2 T yogurt
1-2 scoops collagen or spirulina (both optional)
bee pollen (optional)
Blend everything on high except sprinkle on bee pollen once it is in the glass.
I am usual not a fan of milk yogurt...however this yogurt is exceptional! This is a screen shot from their website about it.
Reminder: Get in the habit of taking some Vit C along with your smoothie or breakfast in the morning. You also might want to take your Vit D/K and or any other daily supplements at this time too. That way you are covered for the day!
HOMEWORK Challenge For Day 1:
Begin Each Day With Warm Lemon Water.

Stop eating by 7pm
